Inaugural Event Culminates with $1,000 prize pool
Charlotte, NC, April 12, 2018– The eSports Players Tour (eSPT) makes its debut by hosting a competitive gaming tournament featuring the popular Rocket League and League of Legends games. Participants will compete for a share of a $1,000 prize pool that will be distributed among the top three teams for each tournament. Interested gamers may register through Battlefy.com at no charge while spots are available. The Rocket League tournament is capped at 64 - two-player teams (128 players maximum) while the League of Legends tournament will host 32 – five-player teams (160 players maximum). The single elimination tournament will kick off on Tuesday, May 1st. All eSPT tournament matches will be hosted on Battlefy and streamed via Twitch.
“There is a lot of curiosity among the gaming community about the newly established eSports Players Tour. To capitalize on the excitement, our goal is to host a full field of competitors and to reward the top finisher,” noted Traxion Events Managing Director Scotty Brown.
The eSPT has also added a Fortnite tournament melee for the first 100 registrants beginning Tuesday, May 1st. A series of future eSports Players Tour events will be announced in the near future.
